SEEDS (Survivors Empowering and Educating Domestic Abuse Services) is a group facilitated by VOICES and free to join and volunteer with. Survivors meet monthly and work together to have their voices heard together by those planning for and providing domestic abuse services.
SEEDS Bath is part of a wider SEEDS movement of voluntary groups.
The network is involved in awareness raising and campaigning on the issues affecting survivors and victims of domestic abuse. Involvement in SEEDS also provides opportunities to gain individual training and new skills as a volunteer. You can get involved to fundraise, organise bake sales, even do a parachute jump or sponsored marathon!
Women can apply to join through VOICES, which funds and facilitates the group. Travel and childcare costs for participants are reimbursed. If you would like to volunteer in your local community and liaise with local and national services to improve the support available to survivors, or help out with organisation and admin, VOICES would be delighted to hear from you.
