VOICES offer bespoke training to professionals based on survivor insights and experience. We have provided training sessions for police and probation services and for counsellors and psychotherapists working in NHS-funded and private practice. Please contact us for more details of the tailored services we can offer.
VOICES also consult with other agencies and services to improve the provision of support to those with experience of domestic abuse. This includes the IVASP (Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Strategic Partnership) board in Bath & Northeast Somerset and the IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) Steering Group, which coordinates the specialist domestic abuse training for GPs and those working in primary care. VOICES members also consult with the national training charity Safelives, as members of their Family, Friends and Survivors group.
We have contributed survivor insights from focus groups to university undergraduate teaching on domestic abuse for social work students.
